We saw green monkeys most days, wandering along the escarpment past our
camp. They always had a good look around in the hope of spotting unattended
food, and after the first day or two, we discouraged their attentions. Even
then,however, they would carry out their patrol efficiently, making their
observations from the safety of one of the trees.
